Five raised bands on spine, about 1/3 of title section on spine is chipped away. Frontis illustration of "Georgii Buchanani" is intact but loose; title page and page "To The Reader" are also intact but loose. Binding is complete but front cover is detached and back cover is holding only by the bands, stitching is good and book is sturdy, page edges appear to have been tinted red, mild foxing throughout. Back of title page has a book plate with arms illustrated and reading: "Mr. Ambrose Holbech of Mollington in the County of Warwick 1702" book plate measures 3&1/2" by 3"
